Our Ministries

Community Outreach

At Keene Valley Congregational Church, we believe that faith is not just something we practice on Sundays—it’s how we live every day. Guided by love, justice, and inclusivity, we strive to nurture a vibrant community where everyone is welcome, supported, and empowered. From local gatherings to global outreach, these ministries reflect our commitment to serving others, honoring diversity, and caring for creation.

Community Events

We gather in joy and fellowship such potluck suppers, group camping trips, and celebrations that build lasting bonds. We also extend our care to neighbors in assisted living, reminding them they are never alone.

LGBTQI+ Pride Events

An Open & Affirming Church, we joyfully support LGBTQI+ Pride events and affirm that everyone—regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation—is beloved by God and welcomed fully into our community.

Welcome Refugees

We've welcomed a refugee family through the State Department’s Welcome Corps, sent aid to Ukraine, and assembled resource kits for displaced individuals around the world.

We also continue to support the refugees in our community through AFRI, a ministry of our church.

Feeding Families in Need

Our faith calls us to respond to hunger with action. Keene Food Mission provides food and essential support to local families facing hardship, offering dignity, nourishment, and hope.

Retreats

Each summer, we host guest poets and authors who lead thoughtful retreats focused on spirituality, environmental stewardship, and our call as a Creation Justice Church. These gatherings inspire reflection, dialogue, and faithful action.
